In Powermax® systems, intense heat of up to 22,000° C is used to melt metal, and compressed air or nitrogen blows the molten metal away to leave a clean edge that, in most cases, is ready to weld. All you need is an AC power source (fixed or generator), so whether you are workshop based or out in the field, Powermax® systems can cut and gouge all metal types and forms.
Offering exceptional performance, the Powermax®’s state-of-the-art consumable technology makes your welding job faster and easier, with excellent cut quality. Another popular unit from this range is the Powermax® 45XP.
Replacing its predecessor, the Powermax® 45XP delivers increased cut capacity - up to 16mm (5/8") metal, faster cut speeds, as well as gas adjustment for quick, simple setup and operation. You’ll have an extensive array of application capabilities at your fingertips via specialty consumables for fine feature cutting, extended reach cutting, precision gouging and marking.
An ideal tool for many widely used metal marking applications, such as part identification numbers or score lines for weld or bend placement, the 45XP has been specifically designed to provide a stable, low current plasma arc using the precision gouging nozzle and marking shield, resulting in high quality marks using a handheld or machine torch, with either air or argon as a gas source.
